Dr. Shirsendu Saha is a skilled and experienced medical professional who fosters a strong passion for improving the health condition of individuals with respiratory and chest disorders. He is currently working as a Consultant in a 250-bed TB hospital in Shamoli, Dhaka.

With an impressive academic background, Dr. Shirsendu completed his MBBS degree from Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College and subsequently completed his MD Degree in Chest diseases from Dhaka University in coordination with the National Institute of Diseases of Chest and Hospital (NIDCH), Mohakhali, Dhaka under Dhaka University.

Dr. Shirsendu’s journey as a skilled physician starts with integrated training in medicine as an Assistant Registrar in the Department of Medicine and Allied in Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital. After completing 5 years of training in Medicine and Allied, he joined as a student of Respiratory Medicine in NIDCH, where he got invaluable experience in treating patients with diverse respiratory and chest disorders.

He has vast expertise in Bronchoscopy and Associated Respiratory Interventions like Pleuroscopy. Currently, he is rising as an Intervention Pulmonologist and gathering his experience in this field through different trainings in the nation as well as abroad. He aspires to gather experience working in ICU and RCU settings and working with patients in difficult respiratory situations in hopes of providing solutions that will ease their pains.

With a passion for research in respiratory physiology, Dr. Shirsendu is pursuing research on several different topics of Respiratory Medicine like Tuberculosis and Bronchiectasis. He has several publications in various prestigious respiratory journals both locally and internationally.  Furthermore, he is a member of the American Respiratory Society.
