He completed his MBBS from Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College and went on to achieve the MRCP-SCE in Endocrinology and Diabetes from the Royal College of Physicians, UK—an internationally recognized benchmark of advanced specialty competence. He further specialized by completing his MD in Endocrinology and Metabolism from BIRDEM, Bangladesh’s premier institute for diabetes and endocrine disorders, solidifying his expertise in managing complex metabolic and hormonal diseases.

Dr. Aminul Islam has served as an Endocrinologist under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Bangladesh, and has worked as a Consultant Endocrinologist at Epic Healthcare, Chittagong, and Patiya General Hospital and Diagnostic Center. Across these roles, he has provided specialist consultation and advanced endocrine care to a diverse patient population, earning recognition for his clinical judgment, ethical practice, and compassionate approach.

His areas of expertise include diabetes and its acute and chronic complications, gestational diabetes, thyroid disorders including thyroid cancer, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), infertility, obesity, osteoporosis, and sexual dysfunction. He is also highly experienced in the diagnosis and management of growth and puberty disorders, pituitary and adrenal diseases, parathyroid disorders, electrolyte imbalances, calcium and vitamin D metabolism, and fatty liver disease. His broad clinical scope allows him to manage both common and complex endocrine conditions with confidence and precision.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Aminul Islam is actively involved in academic and research activities. He has authored seven original research articles and two case reports in recognized medical journals and regularly participates in professional training and academic forums, contributing to the advancement of endocrine care in Bangladesh.
