Dr. Md. Enamul Karim is an accomplished Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the Medical College for Women and Hospital in Dhaka. With extensive experience in pediatric and neonatal healthcare, Dr. Enamul Karim is dedicated to managing both outpatient and inpatient care, including responsibilities in the Special Care Newborn Unit (SCANU). In addition to his clinical work, he actively contributes to the education and training of medical students, resident doctors, and nursing staff within the institution.

Dr. Enamul Karim completed his MBBS at Jahurul Islam Medical College under the University of Dhaka, followed by a Diploma in Child Health (DCH) from the Bangladesh Institute of Child Health (BICH). He furthered his specialization by earning the FCPS in Neonatology from the Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons (BCPS).

A respected member of the Bangladesh Pediatric Association and the Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons, Dr. Enamul Karim has held various roles across reputable institutions. Previously, he was an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at US-Bangla Medical College and Hospital and served as a Registrar in Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care at the National Heart Foundation Hospital & Research Institute. His early career includes roles as a resident in both Pediatrics and Neonatology at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University and BICH, and as an Assistant Registrar at the Medical College for Women and Hospital. He began his medical journey at Dhaka Shishu Hospital as an HMO in Pediatrics.

Dr. Enamul Karim has contributed significantly to pediatric and neonatal research, with multiple publications in recognized journals, including studies on congenital conditions, infectious diseases, and infant feeding practices. His notable works have been published in the Journal of The Medical College for Women & Hospital, The Planet, and the Bangladesh Journal of Medical Science, among others.

Among his key publications are studies such as Congenital Lobar Emphysema with PDA and VSD: A Case Report, Correlation of Clinical Features in Diagnosis and Management of Bronchiolitis, Effect of Prophylactic Oral Nystatin on Fungaemia Prevention among VLBW Neonates in NICU, Efficacy of Azithromycin versus Ceftriaxone for Typhoid Fever in Children, Liver Dysfunction in Newborns with Perinatal Asphyxia, and studies on the management of children with COVID-19 in Bangladeshi hospitals as well as infant feeding practices in tertiary-level hospitals.
