Dr. Kohinur Akther is a highly qualified and dedicated dental surgeon, specializing in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. With extensive clinical and academic experience, she is known for delivering precise, personalized orthodontic care—particularly in smile design, fixed braces, and clear aligner treatment. Dr. Kohinur completed her Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from Pioneer Dental College under Dhaka University, followed by an FCPS in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics from the Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons (BCPS), with training at Dhaka Dental College. She also pursued additional training in Conservative Dentistry, Endodontics, and Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.

Since 2016, she has been serving as a Consultant Orthodontist at a Dental unit in Uttara, Dhaka. Alongside her clinical work, Dr. Kohinur is actively involved in academia and currently holds the position of Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthodontics at Dhaka Community Medical College. She is also a published researcher, with multiple articles in peer-reviewed journals covering topics such as pain management during orthodontic treatment and dental arch development in children.

Her expertise spans a wide range of procedures, including root canal therapy, dental implants, aesthetic restorations, scaling, and polishing. She regularly attends national and international conferences and has received certifications in microdentistry, fixed prosthodontics, and clinical research methodology.
