Dr. Mohammad Mizanur Rahman is a dedicated Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon with nearly two decades of experience in clinical practice, medical education, and healthcare administration. He earned his BDS from Rajshahi Medical College and MS in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU), building a strong academic foundation for his distinguished career.

Currently serving as Assistant Director (Dental & Medical Education) at the Directorate General of Medical Education (DGME), Dr. Rahman plays a key role in shaping national dental education policies and institutional standards. Previously, he worked as an Assistant Professor of Maxillofacial Surgery at Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College and Sher-E-Bangla Medical College, contributing to both advanced clinical practice and undergraduate teaching. His earlier career included service as a Dental Surgeon at district and upazila hospitals, where he gained valuable grassroots-level healthcare experience.

Dr. Rahman has also served as Registrar (Dental) at Sir Salimullah Medical College Hospital and completed a study deputation at BSMMU. His professional development includes Foundation Training, postgraduate training, and specialized programs in advanced dentistry, substance abuse prevention, and public health, reflecting his broad professional interests.

A committed researcher, Dr. Rahman has published in leading journals such as JBAMOS, Bangladesh Dental Journal, Journal of Preventive and Social Medicine, and City Dental College Journal. His work covers critical areas including oral cancer surgery complications, ultrasonography in maxillofacial infections, physicians’ knowledge of death declaration, and zinc levels in oral carcinoma patients.

With his blend of surgical expertise, academic leadership, and policy-level contributions, Dr. Mohammad Mizanur Rahman remains committed to advancing oral health care, dental education, and patient outcomes in Bangladesh.
