Dr. Adnan Bashar is a dedicated and highly skilled cardiologist with advanced expertise in echocardiography, interventional cardiology, and cardiac device implantation. With strong academic credentials and extensive procedural experience, he is committed to delivering evidence-based, patient-centered cardiovascular care while actively contributing to research and clinical innovation.

Dr. Bashar completed his MBBS from Mymensingh Medical College, followed by MCPS in Medicine from the Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons (BCPS). He later earned his MD in Cardiology from Bangladesh Medical University (BMU), Dhaka, further strengthening his specialization in advanced cardiac care. He currently serves as an Assistant Registrar in Cardiology at the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD), Dhaka, where he is involved in managing complex cardiovascular conditions.

He has received specialized training in Echocardiography, including advanced exposure at JROP, New Delhi, and has significant experience in Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE), having independently performed more than 300 TEE procedures. His interventional experience includes independently performing over 400 Coronary Angiograms (CAG) via the radial approach and more than 50 Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI). He has also independently performed around 50 Permanent Pacemaker (PPM) implantations.

In addition, his procedural training includes ASD device closure, Percutaneous Transvenous Mitral Commissurotomy (PTMC), Balloon Pulmonary Valvuloplasty, and Electrophysiology (EP) studies, reflecting comprehensive expertise in invasive cardiology.

Dr. Bashar is actively engaged in academic research and has authored and co-authored several publications in reputable cardiovascular journals. His research interests include coronary artery disease, antiplatelet therapy in acute coronary syndrome, atrial fibrillation management, and rare cardiovascular conditions.
