Dr. Mohammad Fakhrul Alam is a dynamic endocrinologist and academic leader, known for his expertise in diabetes, metabolic disorders, and clinical endocrinology. With a strong foundation in internal medicine and advanced specialization in endocrinology, he combines clinical excellence with a deep commitment to teaching and research.
He completed his MBBS from Dhaka Medical College, followed by FCPS in Internal Medicine from the Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons (BCPS), and an MD in Endocrinology and Metabolism from Bangladesh Medical University.
Currently serving as Assistant Professor of Endocrinology under DGHS, deputed to the Centre for Medical Education (CME), Dhaka, Dr. Alam plays a key role in shaping medical education, advancing research, and mentoring future physicians. He previously served at Noakhali Medical College and has extensive experience across multiple government healthcare institutions, managing a wide spectrum of complex medical and endocrine conditions.
Dr. Alam has a special interest in gestational diabetes and metabolic diseases, with a strong academic portfolio that includes multiple research publications in reputed journals. He is also actively engaged in national and international professional bodies, contributing to scientific advancement and clinical best practices.
Dr. Alam is actively involved in national and international professional bodies. He serves as a member of the Scientific Sub-Committee of the Bangladesh Endocrine Society and is on the Editorial Board of the Journal of the Association of Clinical Endocrinologists & Diabetologists of Bangladesh. He is also a member of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinology (AACE) and the American College of Physicians (ACP).
