Professor Dr. (Col) Ziauddin Mohammad Yahia is a highly accomplished Neurologist and Medicine Specialist with extensive experience in clinical and critical neurology, stroke management, and neurointervention. With over a decade of hands-on experience, he is widely recognized for his expertise in thrombolysis for acute ischemic stroke, advanced neurodiagnostics, and comprehensive neurological care.

He completed his MBBS from Jahirul Islam Medical College, followed by CCD from BIRDEM. He obtained FCPS in Medicine from the Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons and subsequently earned FCPS in Neurology from the National Institute of Neurosciences & Hospital (NINSH). He also holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) from the University of Dhaka, reflecting his strong understanding of healthcare systems and population health.

Professor Zia currently serves as Head of Neurology and Medicine Specialist at Combined Military Hospital (CMH), Dhaka, where he leads neurological services and plays a pivotal role in delivering advanced, patient-centered care.

He has developed significant expertise in stroke and neurointervention, particularly in the management of acute ischemic stroke, along with dementia, epilepsy, and neurocritical care. His clinical practice includes advanced diagnostic and interventional procedures such as extracranial duplex scanning, transcranial Doppler studies, nerve conduction studies, EEG, and diagnostic cerebral angiography. He is also highly experienced in neurocritical care, ensuring comprehensive management of complex neurological cases.

Throughout his career, he has performed a large number of life-saving procedures, including thrombolysis in acute stroke and diagnostic cerebral angiograms, alongside a high volume of neurodiagnostic investigations each year. His leadership experience further strengthens the delivery of efficient, high-quality neurology services.
