Dr. Rameshwar Paul is a skilled Pulmonologist specializing in the diagnosis and management of respiratory and chest diseases. He is committed to delivering evidence-based, patient-centered care for individuals suffering from both acute and chronic lung conditions. His clinical approach emphasizes accurate diagnosis, individualized treatment planning, and continuous follow-up to ensure optimal respiratory health outcomes.

He completed his MBBS from MAG Osmani Medical College, Sylhet, and obtained his MD in Pulmonology under Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU), with advanced training at the National Institute of Diseases of the Chest & Hospital (NIDCH), Mohakhali, Dhaka.

Dr. Paul is currently serving at the National Institute of Diseases of the Chest & Hospital (NIDCH), one of the country’s leading centers for respiratory diseases. In this role, he actively manages a wide spectrum of complex pulmonary conditions and contributes to specialized respiratory care services at a national level.

He has extensive clinical training and hands-on experience in respiratory medicine, including advanced residency at NIDCH. During this period, he was actively involved in patient management, ward-based clinical care, and multidisciplinary case discussions under senior supervision.

His areas of expertise include asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), bronchiectasis, interstitial lung disease, pulmonary infections, sleep-related breathing disorders, and allergic respiratory conditions. He is also proficient in interpreting key diagnostic tools such as chest X-rays, CT scans, arterial blood gas analysis, pulmonary function tests, and sleep studies.

Dr. Paul is experienced in performing and assisting pulmonary procedures, including ultrasound-guided thoracentesis. He also plays an active role in teaching and mentoring junior doctors, contributing to clinical training and skill development within his department.

In addition to clinical practice, he is actively engaged in academic activities including case discussions, seminars, and continuing medical education focused on advancements in respiratory medicine.
