With nearly 20 years of rich experience, and an impressive educational background and extensive training, Dr. Rownak Jahan is an established and trusted paediatric dental consultant.

Dr. Rownak completed his Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from the University of Rajshahi. Demonstrating his commitment to excellence, he pursued specialized training in Endodontics, completing a rigorous Post Graduate Training program at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Hospital. Seeking to further enhance his skills, he undertook another Post Graduate Training program in Endodontics at SHOWA University in Japan. 

Continuing his pursuit of knowledge, Dr. Rownak embarked on a Master’s in Public Health (MPH) with a specialization in Environmental Health.

Currently, Dr. Rownak holds the position of Senior Lecturer in the Department of Paediatric Dentistry and serves as a medical officer at Update Dental College and Hospital. This multifaceted role enables him to contribute to the education of aspiring dentists while delivering exceptional patient care.

Dr. Rownak’s dedication to advancing dental knowledge is evident in his research contributions. His published papers, such as “An assessment following root canal preparation by Er,Cr: YSGG laser irradiation in straight and curved roots, in vitro” and “A study on surface roughness and micro leakage test in cavities prepared by Er,Cr:YSGG laser irradiation and etched bur cavities,” demonstrate his commitment to enhancing dental practices.

Actively involved in professional organizations, Dr. Rownak maintains membership with prestigious bodies such as the Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council, Bangladesh Dental Society, and Bangladesh Academy of Dentistry International. Furthermore, he serves as a valued member of the Editorial Board for the Update Dental College Journal.
