Dr. Mohammad Jayedul Islam is a Junior Consultant in the Department of Surgery at Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital in Dhaka, where he brings extensive experience and expertise in a wide range of general and laparoscopic surgical procedures. With over three years of experience as an independent consultant, he has demonstrated strong proficiency in handling complex cases.

Dr. Jayedul Islam began his medical journey at Sir Salimullah Medical College, where he earned his MBBS degree. He then advanced his surgical training with an MS in Surgery from the University of Dhaka and obtained his MCPS from the Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons (BCPS). His academic path reflects a deep commitment to clinical excellence and continuous learning, equipping him with the skills and knowledge to provide high-quality surgical care.

Dr. Jayedul Islam has performed more than 500 laparoscopic cholecystectomies, over 200 emergency laparotomies for diverse surgical conditions, another 200 routine laparotomies, as well as more than 300 other emergency surgical procedures. Additionally, his extensive background includes more than 1000 minor surgical procedures, making him highly adept at both major and minor operations.

Beyond his clinical duties, Dr. Jayedul Islam is an active member of several prestigious professional organizations, including the Society of Surgeons of Bangladesh (SOSB), the Society of Endo-Laparoscopic Surgeons of Bangladesh (SELSB), and the Society of Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Surgeons of Bangladesh.
