Dr. Md. Mahbubur Rahim is a highly skilled and compassionate Paediatrician and Paediatric Nephrologist, dedicated to the care of children with kidney and urinary disorders. Currently serving as Assistant Professor of Paediatric Nephrology at Dhaka Medical College Hospital, he combines advanced medical expertise with a warm, patient-centered approach, ensuring that every child and their family feel supported and informed throughout treatment.
Dr. Rahim completed his MBBS from Dhaka Medical College and earned his MD in Paediatric Nephrology from Bangladesh Medical University (BMU). Over the years, he has gained extensive experience managing a broad spectrum of paediatric kidney conditions, including nephrotic syndrome, acute kidney injury, congenital kidney disorders, urinary tract infections, and paediatric renal transplant care. His training and practice also encompass paediatric emergencies, intensive care, and specialized nephrology procedures, making him adept at handling complex and critical cases with precision and care.
He has completed numerous professional development programs, including specialized training in paediatrics, diabetology, mental health for physicians, and early-life nutrition, reinforcing his holistic approach to child health. Dr. Rahim has also been involved in research focused on nephrotic syndrome, acute kidney injury, and urinary biomarkers, contributing to evidence-based advancements in paediatric nephrology.
A life member of the Paediatric Nephrology Society of Bangladesh (PNSB) and the Bangladesh Paediatric Association (BPA), Dr. Rahim actively participates in professional societies and conferences, sharing knowledge and staying at the forefront of pediatric kidney care.
