Dr. Nilima Yasmin is a dedicated healthcare professional and accomplished Sonologist, recognized for her strong expertise in medical imaging, maternal health diagnostics, and clinical practice. With over a decade of experience across reputed healthcare institutions and development organizations, she has made remarkable contributions to ultrasound-based diagnostics, women’s health, and public health initiatives in Bangladesh.

Dr. Nilima began her medical journey with an MBBS from Community-Based Medical College & Hospital, Bangladesh under the University of Dhaka. Her growing passion for medical imaging led her to pursue a Diploma in Medical Ultrasound (DMU) from SHRISTY Institute for Health Sciences & Technology Ltd., where she developed advanced proficiency in fetal anomaly scanning, obstetric Doppler, and transvaginal sonography. To complement her clinical expertise, she also earned a Master of Public Health (MPH) from North South University.

In her distinguished career, Dr. Nilima Yasmin has served as a Consultant Physician and Sonologist at several leading healthcare facilities in Dhaka, where she is widely trusted for her precision in diagnostic imaging and patient-centered approach. She is currently engaged with the ‘Howar’ project under BRAC’s Integrated Development Program, and also served as a consultant at Prescription Point Ltd., Lake View Clinic, Impulse Hospital Ltd., and AIMS Hospital Ltd.

Beyond clinical practice, Dr. Nilima has been actively involved in public health and pandemic response initiatives, notably serving as a Medical Officer in BRAC’s COVID-19 response projects, where she contributed to community health awareness, healthcare delivery, and data monitoring. She has also participated in UNFPA-supervised free medical camps and worked as a Research Physician with the NSU MPH Club.

Her clinical expertise encompasses comprehensive ultrasound diagnostics, with a particular focus on maternal and fetal imaging, obstetric Doppler studies, and transvaginal sonography. She is highly skilled in interpreting complex sonographic findings with accuracy and sensitivity, ensuring timely and precise diagnosis for her patients. Known for her empathetic approach and patient-centered care, Dr. Nilima always prioritizes clear communication, comfort, and emotional support during each consultation—helping patients feel informed, reassured, and cared for throughout their healthcare journey.
