Dr. Salma Anam is an esteemed Breast, Plastic, and Reconstructive Surgeon currently serving as an Associate Professor in the Burn and Plastic Surgery Department at Dhaka Medical College Hospital. With a rich educational background and extensive experience in her field, she has made significant contributions to the medical community.

Dr. Salma completed her MBBS from Sir Salimullah Medical College (SSMC) and an MS in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU). She also holds an FCPS in General Surgery from the Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons (BCPS). Her academic achievements reflect her dedication and commitment to advancing her knowledge and expertise in surgery.

Throughout her career, Dr. Salma has specialized in various areas of breast, plastic, and reconstructive surgery. Her field of expertise includes the management and surgery of breast cancer and breast-related diseases, as well as breast reconstruction. She is proficient in handling burn injuries and post-burn deformities, contractures, and ulcers. Dr. Salma is also experienced in reconstructing post-traumatic soft tissue defects and scalp defects.

In her practice, she manages and provides coverage for bedsores in paralyzed patients and treats all types of skin cancer and soft tissue malignancies. Her skills extend to managing chemotherapy and radiotherapy-induced ulcers, performing various wound care, dressing, and surgical procedures, and addressing hernias and abdominoplasty. Dr. Salma is also adept at treating congenital deformities of the hand, limb, face, and trunk, as well as vascular malformations and anal fissures or hemorrhoids.
