Dr. Sushanta Barua is a dedicated physician specializing in cardiology with a strong academic and clinical foundation. He completed his MBBS from Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College and earned his MD in Cardiology from Sir Salimullah Medical College. His medical journey spans across renowned institutions, blending hands-on clinical care, research, and public service.
Dr. Barua has served in various key roles, including Assistant Registrar in Surgery at the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD) and in Cardiology at Dhaka Medical College. He also contributed to public health policy and administration as an OSD under the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS). His earlier experience includes work in Internal Medicine, Neurology, and Nephrology at Dhaka Medical College Hospital, Chattogram Medical College, and NIKDU, among others.
He has enhanced his clinical expertise through several local trainings, particularly in the areas of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), kidney and urological disease management, and healthcare service systems.
