Lt. Col. (Retd.) Dr. Md Jahangir Hossain is a seasoned physician and healthcare administrator with over 30 years of service in the Bangladesh Army, Navy, Border Guard, Coast Guard, and UN peacekeeping missions. Specializing in dermatology and public health, he is recognized for his excellence in clinical care, medical leadership, and institutional healthcare management.

He earned his MBBS from Mymensingh Medical College, an MPH from the Armed Forces Medical Institute (BUP), and a Diploma in Dermatology & Venereology (DDV) from BUP, with training at CMH and AFMI, Dhaka.

Throughout his career, Dr. Hossain has served in diverse clinical, administrative, and command roles—ranging from Medical Officer and Senior Medical Officer to Commanding Officer of Combined Military Hospitals and field medical units. His responsibilities spanned patient care, disaster response, logistics, and healthcare planning, both at home and in international missions in Kuwait, Western Sahara, and the Central African Republic.

He also contributed to medical education as Officer-in-Charge at the Institute of Health Technology, AFMI, where he oversaw academic programs and institutional operations.

With his blend of clinical expertise, leadership experience, and dedication to compassionate care, Dr. Hossain continues to make meaningful contributions to dermatology and public health.
