Prof. Dr. Brig Gen Mahbuba Sultana is a distinguished pediatrician with specialized expertise in pediatric pulmonology, extensive experience in medical education, and a long-standing service in the Bangladesh Army Medical Corps (AMC).

Her educational background includes an FCPS in Pediatrics from the Bangladesh College of Physicians & Surgeons (BCPS), a DCH from Dhaka University, and an MBBS from Sir Salimullah Medical College. She has pursued further training, including a year-long subspecialty in pediatric pulmonology at the Bangladesh Child Health Hospital & Institute (BCHH&I) and training at AIIMS, Delhi.

Prof. Dr. Brig Gen Mahbuba Sultana has been a prominent participant in numerous prestigious seminars and conferences throughout her career. Notable among these are the 30th IPA Congress in Gujarat, Respicon 2019 in Pune, and multiple sessions hosted by the Bangladesh Pediatric Pulmonology Forum. Her active involvement in workshops spans a diverse array of pediatric specialties, including chest radiology, echocardiography, and bronchoscopy.

Prof. Dr. Brig Gen Mahbuba Sultana brings over three decades of distinguished service within the Army Medical Corps (AMC), excelling in diverse leadership roles. She has served as the Principal of Army Medical College Jashore (AMCJ), President of the Medical Education Unit, and Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Army Medical College Jashore. During the COVID-19 pandemic, her contributions were pivotal, including her role as a member of the COVID Core Committee at CMH Dhaka and as President of the COVID Contact Tracing Committee in Jashore Cantonment.

Her pediatric expertise is equally commendable, marked by her role as a child specialist for the Kuwait Army during a three-year deputation. Since 2020, she has served as an advisor and head of the Department of Pediatrics, demonstrating exceptional leadership in her field.
