Prof.  Dr. Md. Abdus Sabur is a distinguished Orthopaedic and Trauma Consultant, renowned for his extensive expertise in the field. He served as a Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery and Joint-Director at the National Institute of Traumatology and Orthopaedic Rehabilitation (NITOR) in Dhaka.

Dr. Sabur began his medical journey by acquiring his MBBS degree from Rangpur Medical College under Rajshahi University. He further pursued a Diploma in Orthopaedics at BSMMU. With eighteen years of experience in orthopaedic surgery, Dr. Sabur has developed a profound understanding of joint replacement and trauma management.

His passion for continuous learning has led him to undergo specialized training in joint replacement surgery both domestically and internationally. Notable among his post-graduate training are his fellowship at Apollo Hospital in Delhi, India, and participation in courses such as AO Basic Course in Bangladesh, Advance Orthopaedic Course in India, Fracture Management Course in the USA, Flap Course in the USA, Higher Training in PRP Therapy in Indonesia, and Arthroplasty Course in India.

Dr. Sabur has a remarkable academic background, contributing to the field through his publications and presentations at numerous national and international conferences and seminars. He has authored several articles, including original research publications, covering a wide range of orthopaedic conditions.

In addition to his clinical and academic pursuits, Dr. Sabur was actively engaged with various technical bodies. He has held the position of Secretary of International Affairs in the Bangladesh Orthopaedic Society (BOS) for the past twelve years and is a member of the Bangladesh Medical Association.

Dr. Sabur’s dedication to advancing orthopaedic knowledge and improving patient outcomes is evident in his participation in seminars and symposiums. He has presented his research on topics such as subtrochanteric fractures, total hip arthroplasty, femoral shaft non-union, and retrograde SIGN nailing at both national and international forums.
