Major Dr. Sarwar Hossain is an experienced Cardiologist with specialized expertise in Interventional Cardiology, bringing extensive clinical experience from both military and civilian healthcare settings. His practice focuses on the diagnosis and management of cardiovascular diseases, coronary interventions, and advanced cardiac assessment.

He completed his MBBS from Sher-e-Bangla Medical College, affiliated with the University of Dhaka, and subsequently obtained his FCPS in Cardiology from the Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons (BCPS). He also holds a Certificate Course in Diabetology (CCD) from BIRDEM and has received advanced training in echocardiography. He is pursuing the MRCP (UK) PACES examination and has further professional training in Interventional Cardiology.

Following his internship at Sher-e-Bangla Medical College and Hospital, Dr. Sarwar began his professional career at the National Heart Foundation Hospital and Research Institute, where he served as a Clinical Assistant and subsequently as a Medical Officer. He later joined the Bangladesh Armed Forces, where he continued his clinical practice and postgraduate training in Cardiology.

His military medical career included serving as a Cardiologist at Combined Military Hospital (CMH), Barishal, and CMH Dhaka. He currently serves as the Head of the Department of Cardiology at BGB Hospital, Pilkhana, Dhaka, where he is involved in clinical management and the delivery of specialized cardiac services.

Dr. Sarwar has particular clinical expertise in coronary interventions, echocardiography, and the management of acute and complex cardiovascular conditions, including critically ill cardiac patients. His training and experience enable him to assess a wide range of cardiac conditions and develop appropriate treatment plans based on individual patient needs.

He believes that effective cardiac care requires timely diagnosis, sound clinical judgment, and clear communication. He places strong emphasis on listening to patients, explaining their conditions and treatment options, and helping them make informed decisions about their health.
