Associate Professor, Gynaecology & Obstetrics

Dr. Nadira Haque is a highly experienced obstetrician and gynecologist with advanced expertise in women’s reproductive health, infertility care, high-risk pregnancy management, and minimally invasive gynecological surgery. Widely respected for her clinical excellence, academic leadership, and compassionate patient care, she remains committed to improving women’s health through evidence-based treatment and modern reproductive medicine.

She completed her MBBS from Community Based Medical College, Bangladesh, followed by MCPS in Obstetrics & Gynecology from the Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons and DGO from Mymensingh Medical College. She later earned her MS in Obstetrics & Gynaecology from Bangladesh Medical University (BMU). In 2023, she further advanced her specialization by completing a Fellowship in Reproductive Medicine and Infertility in India, enhancing her expertise in advanced fertility treatment and reproductive healthcare.

Dr. Nadira Haque is currently serving as Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at Kuwait-Bangladesh Friendship Government Hospital, Uttara, Dhaka, where she leads both clinical and academic services in women’s healthcare.

Her professional training includes advanced clinical and surgical exposure at renowned institutions such as BMU, Dhaka Medical College, BIRDEM, and BIMA, with specialized hands-on training in laparoscopic surgery. Her areas of expertise include infertility management, high-risk pregnancy care, reproductive medicine, laparoscopic gynecological procedures, antenatal care, and comprehensive women’s health services.

Dr. Haque is particularly appreciated for her empathetic and patient-focused approach. She believes in providing personalized care, ensuring that every patient feels heard, respected, and confidently guided throughout their treatment journey—especially in sensitive areas such as infertility and high-risk pregnancy care.

In addition to her clinical work, she is actively involved in academic writing, medical education, and research. She is the author of two widely recognized postgraduate clinical books- A Clinical Approach to Obstetrics and A Clinical Approach to Gynecology- both currently in their second editions. She has also contributed to approximately 40 publications in national and international medical journals.

Through her combined roles as clinician, educator, researcher, and departmental leader, Dr. Nadira Haque continues to play a significant role in advancing maternal and reproductive healthcare services in Bangladesh.
