Dr. Faria Tabassum Tanni is a dedicated orthodontist specializing in the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of dental and facial irregularities. With advanced training in orthodontics and a strong foundation in multidisciplinary dental care, she is committed to helping patients achieve healthy, functional, and confident smiles through personalized, evidence-based treatment.

She completed her BDS from Dhaka Dental College and subsequently earned a Master of Science (MS) in Orthodontics from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU). To further advance her expertise, she is currently undergoing FCPS Part II training in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics at BSMMU. Her postgraduate training also includes Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Dhaka Dental College and Hospital, as well as Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics at BSMMU, providing her with comprehensive knowledge across multiple dental disciplines.

Dr. Tanni has served as Assistant Professor of Orthodontics at Sylhet Central Dental College, where she played an active role in academic teaching and clinical training of dental students. She also worked as a Civil Dental Surgeon at Combined Military Hospital (CMH), Barisal, delivering comprehensive dental and orthodontic care. Earlier in her career, she gained valuable clinical experience as a Dental Surgeon at Hanada Orthodontics and Dental Clinic and through private practice at her own chamber, Faria’s Dental, in Ghatail, Tangail.

Her clinical interests include orthodontic treatment planning, correction of malocclusion, dentofacial orthopedics, smile enhancement, growth modification therapy, and the management of complex orthodontic problems in both children and adults. She is known for her patient-centered approach, attention to detail, and commitment to achieving optimal functional and aesthetic outcomes.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Tanni is actively involved in research and academic activities. She has authored and co-authored several publications in national and internationally indexed journals on topics including malocclusion, cephalometric analysis, smile aesthetics, temporomandibular joint disorders, and orthodontic treatment outcomes. Her research reflects her dedication to advancing orthodontic knowledge and improving patient care.

Beyond clinical practice and research, Dr. Tanni has contributed to public health awareness through health education initiatives and media engagement, including serving as a health program presenter on Doctor TV.
