Dr. Suchismita Debnath is an experienced physician with expertise in Internal Medicine, clinical patient management, and medical education. She is committed to providing evidence-based, compassionate care, with a focus on accurate diagnosis, thoughtful clinical decision-making, and individualized treatment.

Dr. Debnath completed her MBBS from Dhaka Medical College and subsequently obtained her FCPS in Internal Medicine from the Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons (BCPS). She also completed a Certificate Course in Diabetology from BIRDEM, strengthening her expertise in the management of diabetes and related medical conditions.

She currently serves as a Medical Officer in Internal Medicine at Bangladesh Medical University, Shahbag, Dhaka, where she is involved in the management of both outpatient and inpatient cases and contributes to postgraduate academic activities. Her clinical practice covers a broad range of acute and chronic medical conditions, with particular emphasis on comprehensive assessment, evidence-based treatment, and patient-centred care.

Prior to joining Bangladesh Medical University, Dr. Debnath worked as a Resident Medical Officer at BIRDEM, gaining valuable experience in the management of patients with complex medical conditions in a tertiary-care setting. Her clinical experience has strengthened her skills in outpatient and inpatient management, multidisciplinary collaboration, and the care of patients with multiple and complex medical needs.

Dr. Debnath is also actively engaged in medical education and clinical research. She contributes to the teaching and professional development of medical learners and has participated in case-based research and medical publications. Her published work includes Coexistence of Takayasu Arteritis and Intestinal Tuberculosis in a Young Bangladeshi Woman, published by John Wiley & Sons Ltd., and Septicaemic Melioidosis Complicated by Septic Arthritis in a Bangladeshi Male: A Case Report, published in the Bangladesh Journal of Medicine.

Known for her calm, approachable, and compassionate manner, Dr. Debnath places strong emphasis on clear communication with patients and their families. She takes time to explain medical conditions and treatment options clearly, helping patients make informed decisions about their health.
